Column 1
gives the planet name. Column 2 gives the planet mass in units of Jupiter mass.
Column 3 gives the planet semimajor axis in astronomical units (AU). Column 4 gives
the orbital eccentricity. Column 5 gives the orbital period in days. Column 6
gives the star mass in units of Solar mass. Column 7 gives the star spectral
type; if no Roman numeral is appended, the luminosity class is V, indicating a
main sequence star. Column 8 gives the star metallicity (Solar = 0). Column 9
gives the star distance in parsecs (1 parsec = 3.26 light years).
Last update July 2008.
System parameters follow the Catalog of
Nearby Exoplanets, July 2008, except as indicated.

Note: Four candidate Super Jupiters listed in EPE are excluded:
HD 59686 b was originally announced in a
BAAS abstract by Mitchell et al. (2003).
However, the discovery was never formally published, and the planet has
not been listed in the Catalog of Nearby Exoplanets (which shares authors with the
abstract) since 2006. These omissions
cast doubt on the object’s existence.
HD 13189 b is excluded because its host
star’s mass is poorly constrained, preventing an accurate estimate of the
planet’s mass and semimajor axis (Hatzes et al. 2005,
A&A 437: 743).
ChaHa8 b is excluded because the system
can be interpreted as a binary comprising two brown dwarfs, rather than as a
star orbited by a planet (Joergens & Muller 2007,
ApJ 666: L113).
HD 41004 Bb is excluded because the system
parameters are consistent with a binary comprising an M dwarf and a brown
dwarf, rather than a star orbited by a planet (Zucker
et al. 2004, A&A 426: 695–698).
